Sugar prices rises on fresh demand

Navi Mumbai, June 13 (UNI) Sugar prices rose on fresh demand, traders at the sugar market said today.

Sugar rates in small grade shot up by Rs 15 per quintal on reduced stock supply while medium grade remained steady on moderate demand.

Sugar rates in ex-mill small and medium grades rose by Rs five each per quintal, respectively on improved demand.

Following were the sugar spot rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,898/1,935, medium grade Rs 1,920/1,980.

Ex-mill small grade Rs 1,880/1910 and medium grade Rs 1,910/1,935.
