Section 144 Cr P C declared in Meghalaya

Shillong, Jun 13 (UNI) Meghalaya's East Hills District Majistrate P.Jain today has promulgated section 144 Cr P C in view of the re-assembled Budget session.

The section prohibits demonstrations, rallies, processions, shouting of slogans, carrying of arms and other lethal weapons and assembly of five or more people within 200 metre radius of temporary Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.

The re-assembled Budget will begin on June 16.
