SAD leader calls for relaxation of visa process
Lahore, Jun 13 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal leader Parkash Singh Badal said India and Pakistan should simplify visa procedures for increasing people-to-people contact.
The former Chief Minister of Punjab, who arrived in Pakistan yesterday, called for an increase in bilateral trade and added commercial ties can help in improving relations between the two countries.
Speaking to newspersons at Wagah border, he said ''visits of parliamentary delegations would also be a good confidence building measure.'' Mr Badal said negotiations are the only way to resolve all issues between the two countries.
Hundreds of Sikh pilgrims have arrived in Pakistan to attend the 400th martyrdom day of Guru Arjan Dev. The anniversary celebrations are to start today and will continue upto June 21.
