Property of former IGIMS Director attached

Patna, Jun 13 (UNI) Bihar Vigilance department with the assistance of the police today attached the property of former Director of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) Dr D K Yadav and former IGIM Financial Adviser S R Gayeen.

Earlier in the day, Special Vigilance judge of Patna Ramnivas Prasad issued attachment of property warrant against them.

Additional Director General (Vigilance) Neelmani said here that a team of Vigilance department had left for New Delhi to execute the order of attachment of property of former Head of Eye Department in IGIMS Mahesh Chandra.

Mr Chandra was presently working in AIIMS's eye department in the national capital.

The case was related to irregularities committed from 1996 to 2004 in purchase of Eximer Laser machine in the eye department of IGIMS. Mr Yadav had since been suspended.
