Nagpur, June 13 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Maharashtra president Arun Gujrati today ruled out any 'disintegration' his party's alliance with the Congress due to the NCP's support to well-known industrialist Rahul Bajaj's cadidaturefor the Rajya Sabha polls.

Speaking at a meet-the-Press programme, organised by the Nagpur Union of Working Journalists (NUWJ) here , Mr Gujrati said though Mr Bajaj's candidature was supported by the Shiv Sena and BJP, he was an independent candidate.

''I find no wrong in extending support to the independent candidate. We have urged the Congress to support NCP's fourth candidate, but the former had turned down our request,'' he said adding this did not mean, the process of "disintegration" started in the coalition governments at the Centre and in Maharashtra.

''NCP is one of the partners of the coalition government and will support all people-oriented decisions taken by the UPA and DF governments,'' he said.

Replying to a question, he asserted the NCP belives in secularism and will alwlays remains with secular forces. There would never be any alliance with Shiv Sena or BJP in future, he added.
