Aizawl Jun 13 : Federation of Mizoram Government Employees&Workers (FMGE&W), an umbrella organisation of state government employees, will hold its annual meeting here tomorrow to review the recent pay commission report.

Apart from this, the review had been considered necessary since the Federation had submitted several representations to the Commission.

''As a matter of principle, the Federation has never involved itself where particular service associations are concerned in regard to pay structure. However, it is felt that a review of the recommendations made by the Commission is necessary since most government employees pay have been affected and since we, as a federation, had submitted several representations to the Commission,'', FMGE&W president R. Lalrammawia said He also added that the review held in the council meeting would bring out whether the Federation was happy with the recommendations or not.

The Council meeting will also deliberate on any agenda that its members have submitted, apart from deliberating on the demands it has made to the state government towards the welfare of its members.

Of these demands, one is the stricture placed on medical reimbursement where government employees have been restricted to reimbursements only if they are hospitalised.

The Fedearion has about 100 service organisations of the state government as members.
