Left protesters arrested

Coimbatore, Jun 13 : As many as 970 activicts of Left parties including 94 women, were arrested today when they were trying to stage a road roko protest against the fuel price hike, infront of Tamil Nadu Hotel at Gandhipuram here.

Police sources said the agitation, led by CPI(M) district secretary T R Natarajan, continued for more than one hour before they were arrested.
