Judge reserves order on Rahul Mahajan's bail plea
New Delhi, Jun 13: A special court today reserved till tomorrow its order on the bail application of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan's son Rahul in the drugs abuse case.
Special judge (NDPS) Swarnakanta Mehra said she would pass the order at 1130 hrs tomorrow.
The judge, while reserving her order, asked the Delhi police to present evidence to support the charges against Rahul. She also admitted a police plea for recording of statement of witness Karan Ahuja before a metropolitan magistrate.
Meanwhile, the judge also gave notice to the prosecution on a bail application by Sahil Zaroo, another accused in the case.
The application too would be taken up tomorrow.
A police application for narco-analysis of Rahul also would be heard tomorrow.
Rahul had fallen seriously ill and the late BJP leader's private secretary Bibek Moitra had died after a late night drinks and drugs party at Mr Mahajan's 7 Safdarjang Road residence here on June 2.
Rahul was arrested three days later and is currently lodged in Tihar jail alongwith Sahil who has been charged with supplying narcotic drugs to the party.
