Italy's Zambrotta back in full training
DUISBURG, Germany, June 13: Italy defender Gianluca Zambrotta returned to full training today and will be avaliable for Saturday's World Cup Group E game against the United States.
Zambrotta missed the Azzurri's 2-0 win over Ghana on Monday due to a thigh injury but, after the fullback took part in a training game today, team doctor Enrico Castellacci said he was ''fully avaliable'' to coach Marcello Lippi.
Castellacci said that scans had shown no serious injury to forward Francesco Totti who limped out of the Ghana game in the second half and was also upbeat about midfielder Gennaro Gattuso who sat out yesterday's game due to a thigh injury.
''We will carry out further tests on Gattuso on Wednesday but we are optimistic,'' said Castellacci.
