Haryana exempts VAT on petro hike, wheat bonus
Chandigarh, Jun 13 (UNI) The Haryana government today decided not to charge the Value Added Tax (VAT) on the element of increase in prices of petrol and diesel.
VAT would also be exempted on the amount of bonus paid to farmers by the Central government for procurement of wheat in the Rabi marketing season 2006-07, an official spokesman said today.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the Haryana Cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here. MORE UNI MA RL DS1630
