Nagpur, Jun 13 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) state president Arun Gujrathi today suggested that party MLA Shalinitai Patil should resign and not wait for a show-cause notice to be issued to her following her anti-reservation statements.

''The party would not tolerate if any leader expresses his view against the party's policies and programmes,'' he said.
Shalinitai Patil could express her views against the reservations in her personal capacity, but not on the platform of the party as an MLA, he added.
Replying to a question, he said his party would extend to all cooperation to the DF Government's stand on the issue of hike in petrol and diesel prices. ''If tomorrow Cabinet decides to reduce the income tax on fuel, NCP would support its decision,'' he added.
