Goa Govt rolls back water tariff on popular demand
Panaji, June 13 (UNI) The Goa government has rolled back the water tariff for domestic consumption, to the rates prevailing in the year 2002 on popular demand with immediate effect.
The decision was taken following a meeting between Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane and PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar today, resulting in cancellation of the tariff enhanced in October last, according to official sources.
The consumers, who have already paid the bills on enhanced rates, would get refund from the pulic works department.
