German World Cup win is bottom line with top Finn

HELSINKI, June 13 (Reuters) The secretary of Finland's largest political party has promised to tattoo a German flag on her backside if Germany wins the World Cup.

Maarit Feldt-Ranta, secretary of Finland's Social Democratic Party, said she made the promise to protest against the assumption among her Social Democrat colleagues that Germany would clinch soccer's most glittering prize.

She does not believe the home side will win, but if it does she will carry out her pledge to tattoo her bottom red, black and gold.

''I have only one option if they win the title,'' she told Reuters.

Germany started its campaign for the title last week with a thrilling 4-2 win over Costa Rica.

Finland is home to several world class players but it has never qualified for World Cup or European Championships finals.
