Fishermen rescue Indonesian steamer, caught in storm
Jamnagar, Jun 13 (UNI) An Indonesian steamer en route to Qatar from Malaysia, which was caught in a storm on Sunday in Indian waters, was rescued by the fishermen and escorted to Jodiya port (Jamnagar) safely.
Police officials said that the steamer was caught in a storm and directed by Indian officials to reach nearby Kandala Port. But it landed at Jodiya port with the help of the fishermen, who saw that the steamer was flashing messages for help.
There were six Indonesian on the board of the steamer.
Officials said no illegal material was found in the ship.
