Dena Bank strike in four states on June 16
Kolkata, Jun 13 (UNI) The employees of Dena Bank will go for a strike in Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal on June 16 in protest against the alleged malfunctioning of the management and financial irregularities.
In a statement, All India Dena Bank Employees Coordination Committee Kamal Bhattacharya yesterday said the strike, supported by All India Bank Employees' Association (AIBEA), would be observed in all the bank's branches in the four states.
He alleged that the bank management had been taking unilateral and arbitrary actions and committing financial irregularities resulting in locking up of few crores of rupees.
The strike would also protest the denial of right to representation of the elected representatives of the union and press for regularisation of the budlee and casual employees and conversion of part time employees to full time staff.
