Cong serves notice on Bhajan Lal's son
New Delhi, June 13 (UNI) Taking a serious view of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal's son Kuldeep Bishnoi speaking against his own party-ruled Government, the All India Congress Committee (AICC)today served a show cause notice on him on charge of indulging in anti-party activities.
In the show cause notice served by AICC General Secretary Incharge of Haryana Janardan Dwivedi, Congress MP Kuldeep Bishnoi has been told to reply to the notice within two weeks.
Mr Bishnoi had at a press conference in Delhi last week questioned Bhupinder Singh Hooda Government's decision to transfer 1700 acres of prime land in Haryana's Gurgaon district to a Special Economic Zone being developed by Reliance Industries Ltd(RIL). Mr Bishnoi raised this issue before the signing of an agreement to this effect. The agreement has since been deferred.
Mr Dwivedi evaded a question whether the show cause notice would lead to Mr Bishnoi's suspension from the party.
Meanwhile, party sources said speaking against one's own party by holding a press conference constituted anti-party activities. Mr Bishnoi had been issuing statements against the Congress-ruled Haryana Government since last few months and had persisted with his tirade against the state Government despite being persuaded not to do so.
