Chargesheet against BSNL employee

Patna, Jun 13 (UNI) The CBI today submitted a chargesheet against an employee of BSNL in a case of bribery before the designated judge Jawahar Prasad Ratnesh.

The chargesheet was submitted by CBI under the various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act (PCA) against senior assistant in the office of Divisional Engineer Telecom (DET) of BSNL, Biharsharif, Umesh Chandra Pandey.

According to the charges, accused Mr Pandey was caught red handed by the CBI sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 1,500 for processing the file of a customer of BSNL for installation of a pay phone booth on April 25, 2006.
