Bengal assembly adjourns after obituary references
Kolkata, Jun 13 (UNI) West Bengal assembly was adjourned for the day today after making obituary references.
Speaker Hasim Abdul Halim made obiturary references to late Trinamool Congress MLA Bhupen Seth, former mla Ranjit Panja, former union minister ABA Gani Khan Choudhury, ex-mlas Ajit Kumar Banerjee, Pannalal Majhi, Tarun Chatterjee, musician Nausad Ali and journalist Ganendra Nath Banerjee, who had died after the last session of the 13th assembly.
However, names of CPI(M) state committee secretary Anil Biswas and former union minister Pramod Mahajan were omitted from the list inadvertently, the speaker said.
Obituary references to both of them would be made tomorrow.
