Begging banned in Mahakaleshwar temple

Ujjain, Jun 13 (UNI) The district administration has banned begging around the Mahakaleshwar temple here.

City Magistrate S K Lahiri today said the ban was imposed to ensure that thousands of pilgrims visiting the temple did not feel harassment from beggars and flower sellers. Stern action will be taken against those found begging or compelling the pilgrims to purchase flowers and other offerings from them, he said.
