Bail petition of bribery case accused rejected

Patna, Jun 13 (UNI) Special Vigilance judge of Patna Ram Niwas Prasad today rejected the regular bail petition of an employee of Bihar Electricity department in a bribery case.

After hearing both sides, the designated judge refused to release the accused, an assistant Govardhan Thakur in urban electricity supply division office at Mujahidpur in Bhagalpur district.

According to the FIR, accused Mr Thakur was arrested by the police while accepting a bribe of Rs 1000 from a customer of the department followed by a sting operation of a private TV channel on May 5 last.
