Attachment warrant against IGIMS Director

Patna, Jun 13 (UNI) Special Vigilance judge of Patna Ramnivas Prasad today issued attachment of property warrant against two people, including the former Director of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) Dr D K Yadav.

The case was related to irregularities committed from 1996 to 2004 in purchase of Eximer Laser machine in the eye department of IGIMS. Mr Yadav had since been suspended.

The designated judge issued attachement of property warrant on the prayer of State Vigilance Investigation Bureau against Mr Yadav and former Financial Advisor of IGIMS S R Gayeen.

Earlier, proclamation notices were issued against both accused by court followed by non-bailable warrants of arrest.
