AR jawan goes berserk, kills four colleagues

Imphal, Jun 13 (UNI) A jawan of 44 Assam Rifles posted at Manipur's Chandel district went on a firing spree late last night, killing four Assam Rifles personnel, including two JCOs.

Assam Rifles sources said an internal inquiry was going on and details of the incident and identities of those involved and killed were not revealed.

Sources added there could have been a quarrel among the jawans and the jawan a barber by profession, who might not have been granted leave as desired.

In a separate incident, a bomb blast occured at Water point, Moreh, Chandel district today.

Police said it was an IED and no one was injured.
