5 killed as van hits bus in TN

Thanjavur, June 13 (UNI) Five people were killed and an equal number seriously injured when their van hit a state express transport corporation bus today at Aadhuthurai, about 50 kms from here.

Police said the accident occurred when the van, proceeding from Cuddalore to Chidambaram collied with the bus which was coming to Chidambaram from Kumbakonam.

While four people were killed on the spot, another succumbed to injuries at the Thanjavur Medical College Hospital.
