US-led forces kill seven militants in Iraq

BAGHDAD, June 12 (Reuters) US-led forces in Iraq killed seven militants with links to senior al Qaeda leaders in a raid today near the area where Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed last week, the US military said.

It said there were several women and children at the scene and that two children had been killed, without giving details on how they died.

The raid took place near the town of Baquba, 65 km north of Baghdad. Zarqawi, al Qaeda's leader in Iraq, was killed in a US air raid in a village north of Baquba on Wednesday.
