Three naxals arrested

Ambikapur, June 12 (UNI) Three naxals, including a woman, have been arrested in Sarguja area's Balrampur Police District, police said today.

Superintendent of Police Shivram Prasad Kalluri said Suresh Paikra alias Mahesh, Atosh Korwa alias Brijmohan and Gita Nagosia alias Mangreshi were arrested yesterday.

The accused had managed to escape during a police encounter at Jalbotha earlier.

Three rifles and some cartridges were seized from them.

Mangreshi was working with the ultras for some days. She had been given weapons although she was not trained in using them.

Mahesh and Brijmohan are wanted in about dozen cases, including the murder of Mainpat SHO Agastus Kujur. The duo were involved in naxalite activities for a long time.
