Six sentenced to death in Nashik murder case

Nashik, Jun 12 (UNI) Six persons were today sentenced to death in a three-year old case of gruesome murder of five persons belonging to a family here.

Additional District and Session Court Judge Mrs Veena Taambi pronounced the order during the day.

According to the prosecution, the incident occurred on June 5, 2003 when the accused attacked the house of farmer Triyambak Satore and killed him along with his three sons. One relative was also killed in the incident. After committing the crime, the attackers also raped the wife and daughter of the farmer.

On the next day, the neighbours reported the incident to Nashik Road Police which later nabbed the culprits.

The wife and daughter of the farmer had identified the assailants.
