Rupee stronger by 3 ps, closes at Rs 45.92/USD
Mumbai, June 12: The rupee today closed stronger by three paise at Rs 45.92/ US dollar as compared to the previous close of 45.95/USD.
The Indian currency today opened at Rs 45.94/95 US dollar and in the mid-morning session traded at Rs 45.94/USD.
The six-month forward premia was high at 1.1 per cent and the one year premia was also high at 1.19 per cent.
RBI fixed the reference rate at Rs 45.88/ USD today.
Rupee also fared well against other currencies: Rupee vs Euro was up at Rs 57.70 (58.02), Rupee vs Pound Sterling was up at Rs 84.43 (84.57) and against yen it was up at Rs 40.07(40.15).
