Reddy reviews work on 3 upcoming Varsities
Hyderabad, Jun 12 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today reviewed the progress of work on three upcoming Universities in the state.
According to an official release, Mr Reddy, after a high-level meeting with senior IAS officers of higher education department and Vice-Chancellors of various Universities, underscored the need for imparting quality education to 'future citizens' by taking employability factor into account.
The officials informed him that a total of 300 acres would be acquired for Aadikavi Nannayya, 400 acres for the Yogi Vemana and over 500 acres for the Telangana Universities.
Briefing him about common courses inclduing MBA and MCA, they said a post-graduate degree in Organic Chemistry, Geo-informatics and Zoology with Aquaculture would be offered in Adikavi Nanayya University.
The Telangana University would offer MSc in Plant Science, Mcom with E-commerce and MA in Mass Communication; while Yogi Vamana University offers MSc in Diaster Management and Remote Sensing, Apllied Geology (Mining and Mineral Exploration), MA in Human Resources Development and Telugu Studies.
