Pantaloon to sell 'Krissh' merchandise
New Delhi, June 12 (UNI) Targeting kids, Pantaloon Retail India (PRIL) today announced it has tied up with the producers of the Hrithik Roshan starrer 'Krissh' to promote its range of merchandise that includes t-shirts and dolls sporting the image of super hero in the film.
As per the agreement, the retail giant would manufacture and market the newly launched range consisting of Krissh masks, key chains, colouring books, activity books, rainwear, school bags, shirts, besides other items.
''We are glad to tie up with Pantaloon Retail for the marketing of 'Krissh' merchandise, as they have considerable experience and expertise in marketing, not to mention their innovative abilities,'' Producer and Director of the movie Rakesh Roshan said.
The products will hit the stores in a phase manner from June 13 onwards, in all Pantaloon, Big Bazaar, Food Bazaar, and Central mall formats.
The company's sales for May 2006, announced earlier this week, stood at Rs 195.43 crore as against Rs 125.14 crore during the same period last year, recording a growth of 56.17 per cent.
PRIL has stores in 30 cities across the country, constituting nearly 3.0 million square feet of retail space. The company caters to the lifestyle segment through its 19 Pantaloons Stores and 3 Central Malls.
In Value Retailing it is present through 27 Big Bazaar hypermarkets, 43 Food Bazaars and 4 Fashion Stations.
