Mulayam warns Congress, UPA govt over ''harrassment''
Badaun, UP, Jun 12 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today warned the Congress and the UPA government to desist from ''unnecessarily harassing'' him, his family, party leader Amar Singh and cinestar Amitabh Bachchan.
''...else, Congress will have to suffer serious consequences,'' Mr Yadav maintained while addressing party workers at Babrala town in his Gunnaur assembly constituency.
The CM alleged the Central government was trying to defame him and his associates under a deep rooted conspiracy to divert people's attention from inflation.
''The people know very well that UP was lying ruined under the Congress' rule,'' he said adding the state was making all-round development under the SP regime.
Charging Congress with trying to obstruct various developmental schemes in UP, Mr Yadav, however, asserted that the party would never succeed in its designs.
