Monsoon was weak in Coastal and South Interior Karnataka

Bangalore, Jun 12 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded here at 0830 hours today.

The monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at isolated places over the State.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm); Kollur, Chikballapur 3 each, Siddapura, Chincholi 2 each, Shirali, Sindhanur, Bailhongal, Hosanagar, Sringeri, Agumbe, Madikeri, Tumkur one each.

Forecast valid until Wednesday morning : Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and isolated places over Interior Karnataka.

Farmers forecast : Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over all districts of North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city : Partly cloudy. Light rain likely in some areas.
