Maruti clinches UGS PLM Excellence Award
New Delhi, June 12: India's largest car manufacturer Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL) has been named the winner of Asia Pacific (AP) PLM Excellence Award for 2006 by UGS Corp, global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services.
Crompton Greaves Ltd, Pyung Hwa Oil Seal Industry Co Ltd and Shanghai Yanfeng Johnson Controls Seating Co Ltd were declared runners-up.
The award recognises manufacturers in Asia Pacific who have achieved exceptional business success through the use of PLM software and services.
PLM is becoming more prolific in Asia and a number of entrants participated in this year's fierce competition.
