HC reserves order on Mann's passport

Chandigarh, Jun 12 (UNI) Justice K S Garewal of the Punjab and Haryana High Court today reserved the judgement on the prayer of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president and ex-MP Simranjit Singh Mann seeking directions to the Punjab government to give back his passport as also the permission for proceeding to Pakistan.

Mr Mann proposed to go to Lahore for participation in the 400 years celebrations to mark the martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev ji.

His passport is currently lying in the police station, city Kotwali, Amritsar where a case had been registered against him for allegedly making seditious speech at a function there.
