The petition filed by Tirodkar today came up for hearing before Justice Dilip Bhosale who adjourned the hearing for 2 weeks.

Tirodkar in his petition had challenged the police action against him which had registered an offence against him under Maharashtara Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

During investigation, the police found that Tirodkar in fact had a nexus with criminals, on the basis of which, he was arrested and spent several months in jail. However, the court granted him interim bail.

The interim bail was challenged by the police in the High Court, which the HC cancelled and gave liberty to Tirodkar to apprach Trial court within a stipulated period for seeking relief.
