Gulf Countries show keen interest on Karnataka

Bangalore, Jun 12: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumarswamy today said investors in Dubai, Muscat and Abu Dabhi have shown keen interest in investing in the state particularly in the city.

Mr Kumarswami, who returned today after a four day visit to the gulf Countries, told reporters that he met several leaders and investors during the visit and they were eager to invest in the state. The investors had already gathered a plenty of information about the state and scope for investment.

He said he also highlighted about the development of tier two cities in the state and drew the attention of investors in investment in tourism related infrastructure.

The Chief Minister along with an official delegation, including Medical Education Minister V S Acharya participated in functions organised by Kannadigas in the region in connection with the silver jubilee celebrations of the State reorganisation.

He said that he had assured the Kannadigas to look into their problems including the professional education of their children, upgradation of Mangalore airport development with the Union Government to enable more flights from the gulf region land in the coastal city.
