Panaji, June 12 (UNI) Goa government has extended time of bid by one more month for seeking global expression of interest (GEOI) till July end to attract more bidders for the prestigious Rs 120 crore Oceanarium project that takes the visitors through an underwater tunnel to witness the wonders of the marine life.

''So far two companies had bid the tenders. While one became invalid, the other one was Tata Consultants. We had extended the time of bids by one more month so that it could attract more experts to realise the project,'' Deputy Chief Minister in charge of S&T and environment Dr Wilfred De Souza told media persons here today.

It was one of the ambitious projects in the capital to promote science. An underground glass tunnel from Miramar beach juts into the sea to facilitate viewing of the marine life as envisaged under the project which in turn promotes tourism, according to director of the S&T department Dr N P S Varde.
