Divya Himachal Editor's father Om Prakash Soni passes away

Dharamshala, Jun 12 (UNI) Local daily, Divya Himachal's Editor Anil Soni's father, passed away at Dharamshala town of Kangra district here today.

He was 82.

State Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has expressed grief and sorrow over Om Prakash Soni's death.

In his message, he prayed to the almighty to give strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan and Education Minister Phool Chand Mullana also expressed deep shock and sorrow over the demise of Mr Soni.

In a condolence message, they said that Mr Soni was an eminent educationist and was associated with a number of educational institutions. They said Mr Soni had played a great role in disseminating qualitative education to the young generation.

''The void left by Om Prakash would not be filled and his contribution towards the education would always be remembered, '' they said.
