COAI supports Reliance's move to foray into GSM services

New Delhi, Jun 12 (UNI) The Cellular Operators Association of India today said it supported Reliance Communication's -- an Anil Ambani Group company -- move to enter GSM services in the country.

The company has sought spectrum from the government for the services.

COAI has assured all support to the company in it's foray into GSM services.

Reliance at present offers CDMA-based mobile services in the country to a subscriber base of over 20 million, and Reliance Telecom, a subsidiary of Reliance Communications, offers GSM services to the North-Eastern states.
