Bachchan fans stage demonstration

Kolkata, Jun 12 (UNI) Members of Amitabh Bachchan Fan Club today staged a vociferous demonstration in front of the Income Tax office in the city's Chowringheee area today, alleging a conspiracy against the actor.

Shouting slogans and holding posters, the fans, most of them youngsters, alleged that the IT department's move was initiated at the behest of the Congress.

One of the organisers said they would go for a sustained agitation against the 'nefarious' conspiracy if Congress president Sonia Gandhi did not take any action to stop the move against the actor.

''We will go for a prolonged movement and show black flags to Ms Sonia Gandhi whens he comes to Kolkata next, '' he said.
