Three arrested for stealing bikes

Morena, MP, June 12 : Three members of an interstate gang of two-wheeler vehicle lifters were arrested and three motorcycles recovered from them, police said.

Superintendent of Police Ravi Gupta told reporters here yesterday that the accused used to steal motorcycles.

Manish Verma, Kailash Rajak and Anil Dhobi confessed that they had stolen 20 motorcycles.

He said the gang's leader, Sanjay Tomar, was absconding.

The trio used to sell the motorcycles for Rs 2,000-3,000 to Sanjay, who re-sold it for Rs 5,000-6,000.

Mr Gupta said a master key was seized from the accused.

He said 42 motorcycles were stolen in the town in the last one year.
