25 kg poppy husk seized, 2 arrested

New Delhi, Jun 12 (UNI) In its special drive against drug peddling, South-West Delhi police seized 25 kg of poppy husk and arrested two persons, including a supplier, in two different incidents.

Jeewan Singh (24), resident of Sangroor in Punjab, was arrested yesterday from Dhaula Kuan bus stand along with 13 kg of poppy husk, according to the police.

In the second incident, Harvinder alias Bagga (30) was picked from Dhaula Kuan yesterday while moving around in suspicious circumstances.

Twelve kg of poppy husk were received from his possession, police added.

Interrogation of the two revealed that both the accused were illiterates and residents of Punjab and belonged to poor families.
