2 AP officials killed in road mishap

Hubli, Jun 12 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Deputy Superintendent of Archaeology J Varaprasadrao and his colleague Deenanath Yadav were killed and two others were injured when their car rammed into a stationary truck near Kusugal village on the outskirts of the city today.

Police said the mishap occurred when Dr Varaprasadrao, along with Dr Yadav and Mr Tony Victor of Goa, was proceeding to Hubli after completing a survey of Badami, Aaihole and Pattadkalla caves and temples in Bagalkot district.

While Dr Varaprasadrao was killed on the spot, Dr Yadav succumbed to injuries at the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) here.

Mr Victor and Vadiuraj, the car driver, were being treated at the KIMS.
