Two children drown in pond in Alappuzha

Alappuzha, Jun 11 (UNI) Two children drowned in a pond at Kodamadhuruth in this district this morning.

Police said Salma, 7, and Tausiq, 4, children of a merchant, were playing near the pond, situated close to their residence, when the mishap occurred.

The bodies have been recovered and the funeral is likely to take place this evening, police said.
