Nepal says Koirala's India visit successful
Kathmandu, June 11 (UNI) Leaders of various political parties, businessmen and diplomats in the Himalayan Kingdon said that Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala's recent visit to India has strengthened bilateral ties between the two countries.
''Nepal has received a message that India would always help it in its struggle for peace and Loktantra,'' The Kathmandu Post quoted leader of the Nepali Congress (Democratic) Dr Minendra Rijal as saying.
Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Chairman Chandi Raj Dhakal, who was in PM Koirala's delegation, said the visit would have a long-term impact on Nepali industries and would also influence the country's economy.
According to Chairman of the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), Prakash Shrestha and Yadav Kanta Silwal, a diplomat, Mr Koirala's visit was a huge success in areas of socio-economic cooperation.
Mr Koirala paid a four day good-will visit to India last week at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.
