Nearly 600 IT officals to be transferred

New Delhi, June 11: The Revenue Department is effecting the transfer of nearly 600 Income Tax officials, which it describes as a ''routine affair''.

Revenue Secretary K M Chandrasekhar told UNI that these transfers were necessitated as the officials have to be posted to new stations after serving for a certain period of time in a particular place.

He said a similar number of officials were transferred last year as well.
