JP lodges complaint against Geelani
Jammu, June 11(UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir unit of Janata Party has lodged a complaint with police here against breakway hurriyat conference chairman and hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani, allegedly over his statement of waging struggle for independence.
State party president Somnath Dabgotra told mediapersons here that complaint was lodged at the residency road police outpost here with a copy to sho, police station, city chowk against Mr Geelani and his suppporters for openly saying that they were here for ''Azadi and would continue to strugle for ''Azadi.'' Accusing the state government of adopting double standard, he said on one side, it promptly acted to register FIRs against BJP leaders Vinay Katiyar and Sahib Singh Verma under the sections related to inciting people against government and spreading disaffection among people, while on the otherside it did not take any action against Mr Geelani, hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and People Democratic Party(PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti for their ''open anti-national stance.''
