Iran's Larijani says nuclear reactor offer positive

CAIRO, June 11 (Reuters) Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani today said an offer of nuclear reactors for Iran was a positive point in proposals to persuade Tehran to give up its atomic fuel work.

''This (offer) contains positive points, such as nuclear reactors for Iran,'' Larijani said at a news conference in Cairo. His comments were translated into Arabic.

Larijani said the offer from six world powers also included a proposal for a regional stability dialogue. Iran was ready to take part, he said.

The offer included a proposal ''that they undertake consultation with Iran in security arrangements in the region and that they make benefit from Iranian capabilities ... for the sake of regional stability,'' Larijani said.

''We are ready to give this incentive for the sake of security and stability in the region because Iran is a regional force,'' he said.

Iran has close links with Shi'ite political groups in Iraq.
