Infant girl beheaded in AP

Hyderabad, June 11 (UNI) In a chilling incident, a child's head was found being eaten by dogs at the Vanasthalipuram area on the outskirts of the city today.

Locals who saw the scene drove the dogs away and informed the police who dug out the body from a nearby place.

Police said the child was the daughter of migrant workers from the drought-hit Mahabubnagar District.

The baby's parents had celebrated the cradling ceremony only yesterday.

Sources said police suspected the crime was committed by the poverty-stricken parents, who already had two daughters.
