FIR registered against Katiyar, Verma in Jammu

Jammu, June 10 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir police has registered an FIR against BJP General Secretary Vinay Katiyar, Sahib Singh Verma and others for inciting communalism in the state.

The deputy Inspector General of Police Niaz Mehmood while confirming this to UNI said FIR has been registered at Nowabad police station under sections 124-A (inciting people against the government) and 153-A (spreading disaffection among the people).

He said all present on dias when Mr Katiyar and Mr Verma made the announcements a Rs one lakh reward for civilians killed in fighting with terrorists.

Mr Niaz said police will complete its investigations soon and ask for warrant against these leaders.
