Hyderabad, Jun 11 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President K Keshava Rao today said that the Congress would not have truck with the political parties showing interest in an alliance with the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the panchayat elections, scheduled to be held on June 28 and July 2 in the state.

''Congress is committed to make an alliance with the parties which were fighting against the TDP and BJP in the state. The party would support the secular parties and have truck with the like minded,'' he said, breifing newsmen here, after the meeting of the farmer PCC Presidents presided over by the Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at state party head quarters.

Mr Rao said the meeting discussed about the poll strategy for the elections and the alliances with the CPI, CPM and Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS).

Stating that the party would move in a liberal way with the parties which were ready to make an alliance with the Congress, he said the seat allocation would be decided after consulting the local leaders and district ministers.
